On Monday, February 17, 2025, at approximately 1821 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 717 E. 187th Street, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, a 56-year-old male was discovered unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS responded and transported the aided to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 0130 hours, the following 33-year-old male off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted in connection to a criminal mischief / hate crime, which occurred within the confines of the 1st Precinct in Manhattan.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Thursday, February 02, 2023, at approximately 1615 hours, an unidentified individual approached a mobile Mitzvah Tank Synagogue, which was parked at 575 Broadway, and graffitied the word “PALESTINE” on the exterior of the synagogue vehicle.
The individual then fled into the subway system.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
