On Monday, February 17, 2025, at approximately 1821 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 717 E. 187th Street, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, a 56-year-old male was discovered unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS responded and transported the aided to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 62-year-old male and 35-year-old female individuals were arrested and charged at 1720 hours, and 1835 hours respectively, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, within the confines of the 48th Precinct.

The investigation remains ongoing.
