Robert Valdez-Pena, 27, Arrested For The Murder Of Miguel Doleo, 29

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at approximately 1816 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of multiple people, shot in the vicinity of E. Mount Eden Avenue and Townsend Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, police officers observed a 23-year-old male and a 37-year-old male at the location, both with gunshot wounds to the leg.

The two (2) males were transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln for treatment.

A 31-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg, and a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest were also removed to BronxCare Health System, where the 29-year-old male was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 21-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on June 27, 2024, at 0740 hours, within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder in the 2nd degree;
  • manslaughter in the 1st degree;
  • attempted murder in the 2nd degree (3 counts);
  • criminal possession of a weapon – in the 2nd degree (4 counts);
  • reckless endangerment in the 1st degree (4 counts).

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 27-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on September 20, 2024, at 0745 hours, within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder in the 2nd degree;
  • reckless endangerment in the 1st degree (4 counts);
  • criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree (4 counts).

The investigation remains ongoing.
