On Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at approximately 1020 hours, the individual approached the 21-year-old female victim inside of a northbound E train, approaching the Canal Street subway station, within the confines of the 1st Precinct / Transit District 2 in Manhattan.
The individual proceeded to push the victim into the corner of the train and attempted to rape her.
The individual fled the train at the Canal Street subway station toward another train in the station.
The victim was evaluated at the scene.
On Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 1510 hours, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 23-year-old male individual was arrested and charged within the confines of the 5th Precinct in Manhattan.

- attempted rape;
- forcible touching;
- unlawful imprisonment.
