On Thursday, August 03, 2023, at approximately 0351 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided male inside of an apartment, located at 1242 Hobart Avenue, within the confines of the 45th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 64-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, lying face down in the living room of the apartment; no obvious signs of trauma were immediately observed.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the aided male deceased at the scene.
This incident has now been deemed a homicide by The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 1445 hours, the following 41-year-old male individual was arrested and charged within the confines of the 45th Precinct in regard to the above-listed homicide.

Bronx, NY 10461
Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
