On Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 0331 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 1479 Macombs Road, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, police observed a 38-year-old female with multiple stab wounds to the chest and back.
EMS responded and transported the victim victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a second victim, a 46-year-old male, who was stabbed once in the left leg, was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital by private means, where he is listed in stable condition.
A person of interest was taken into custody on scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 46-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1820 hours, within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Charges:
- murder in the 2nd degree;
- manslaughter in the 1st degree;
- endangering the welfare of a child;
- attempted murder in the 2nd degree – 2 counts;
- criminal possession of a weapon in the 4thdegree.
The investigation remains ongoing.
