Jose Velasco, 19, Arrested For The Murder Of Marvin Pretto, 25

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, at approximately 2242 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, stabbed at 168 7th Street, within the confines of the 78th Precinct in Brooklyn.

Upon arrival, police observed two (2) individuals with stab wounds:

  • a 25-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest, and
  • a 21-year-old male with a stab wound to the back.

EMS responded and transported both aided males to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where the 25-year-old male was pronounced deceased.

The 21-year-old male is listed in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 19-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed homicide.

Brooklyn, NY 10456

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
