The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, seen in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is sought for questioning in connection with an assault in transit, which occurred within the confines of the 1st Precinct / Transit District 2 in Manhattan.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 1124 hours, inside of the Fulton Street Station (A/C lines), the victim, a 62-year-old male, was standing on the platform when an unidentified individual approached from behind and shoved the victim to the roadbed as a southbound A train entered the station.

The victim sought to avoid being hit by the train and went into a space under the platform, however, he was struck by part of the train.

He suffered a laceration to his left leg and pain and bruising to his body.

He extricated himself from the roadbed to the platform and was transported by EMS to New York Downtown Hospital in stable condition.

The unidentified individual fled on foot.
