The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault incident, which occurred within the confines of the 40th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

The following has been reported to police.

On Wednesday, January 05, 2022, at approximately 0830 hours, inside of the 3rd Avenue and 149th Street subway station, a 36-year-old male victim was exiting a northbound 5 train, when he got into a verbal dispute with an unknown male individual on the platform, which escalated into a physical confrontation.

The unknown male then displayed a knife and began to slash at the victim, causing lacerations and cuts.

The male individual fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS responded and transported the victim to Lincoln hospital in stable condition.

The individual wanted for questioning in this incident is described as a male, 20-30 years of age last seen wearing a colorful jacket.
