It was reported to police that on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 0120 hours, in the vicinity of Troy Avenue and Carroll Street, within the confines of the 71st Precinct in Brooklyn, a 21-year-old male was walking, dressed in traditional Hassidic Jewish garments, when an unidentified individual approaches him from across the street and punches him in the nose.
The victim was treated at the scene for his injury.
The assault is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, a 24-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Tuesday, February 01, 2022, at 1350 hours in the confines of the 71st Precinct, as follows.
