The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, who is wanted in connection to an assault, which occurred within the confines of the Midtown South Precinct in Manhattan.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at approximately 2010 hours, near the intersection of W. 35th Street and 5th Avenue, an unknown individual approached a 52-year-old male Asian victim, as he was walking down the street.

The individual, unprovoked, proceeded to punch the victim in the face, causing a bloody nose.

The individual fled westbound on W. 35th Street on foot.

EMS responded and transported the victim to New York University Medical Center in stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing by NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force.

The individual is described as an adult male, Black.

He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a printed pattern on the front, a dark-colored jacket and dark colored pants.
