On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at approximately 0339 hours, police responded to a 911 call of shots fired outside, at 3836 Carpenter Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, police observed an 34-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the left side of his torso.
EMS responded and transported the male victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 22-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 1200 hours, within the confines of the 47th Precinct.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon (2 counts).
The investigation remains ongoing.
