On Saturday, May 06, 2023, at approximately 0430 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in the vicinity of E. 139th Street and Morris Avenue, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old male lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 36-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 1215 hours, within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

- murder;
- manslaughter;
- crminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm.
The investigation remains ongoing.
