On Saturday, April 22, 2023, at approximately 2231 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, stabbed inside of 1145 University Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old male victim with a stab wound to the torso in the hallway of the location.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.
A female person of interest was taken into custody at the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 34-year-old female individual has been arrested and charged in regards to the above-listed murder.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
