On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at approximately 1628 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, stabbed in front of 1809 Phelan Place, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old male in front of the location, who sustained a stab wound to the chest.
EMS transported the male to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 36-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at approximately 1000 hours, within the confines of the 46th Precinct.

Charges:
- murder in the second degree;
- manslaughter in the first degree;
- criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
The investigation remains ongoing.
