On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at approximately 1845 hours, police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the vicinity of E. 164th Street and River Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 22-year-old male with approximately two gunshot wounds to the back of the head.
EMS responded and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased on Friday, May 13, 2022.
A preliminary investigation determined that the individual was walking past the entrance of Mullaly Park, when he was struck by gunfire.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 17-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed homicide.
