On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 1613 hours, officers responded to a 911 call for a person, shot in the vicinity of 2010 Brucker Boulevard, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 52-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the following 28-year-old male individual was arrested and charged in regard to the above-mentioned incident on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at approximately 1835 hours, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct.

Charges:
- murder in the 2nd degree;
- robbery in the 1st degree;
- crininal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree – loaded firearm.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
