On Monday, March 07, 2022, at approximately 1850 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 214 E. 165th Street, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 23-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the neck and torso.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased on Friday, June 09, 2023.
The incident has been deemed a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 22-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Friday, June 03, 2022, at 0750 hours, within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

- assault:
- criminal use of a firearm;
- criminal possession of a firearm;
- attempted criminally negligent homicide.
The investigation remains ongoing.
