On Sunday, September 13, 2026, at approximately 1949 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 1275 Lafayette Avenue, within the confines of the 41st Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 42-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at approximately 1638 hours, within the confines of the 41st Precinct.

- murder;
- reckless endangerment;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
