On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at approximately 1850 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 2525 Grand Avenue, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 0020 hours, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct.

Iyahni Mcintosh

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon, 2 counts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
