On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at approximately 0426 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress, inside of an apartment, located at 1500 Noble Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 45-year-old female with multiple stab wounds about the torso.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where she was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the following 47-year-old male individual turned himself into the 43rd precinct and has been charged as indicated.
Arrested:
Exiquio Castillo
840 Grand Concourse
Bronx, NY 10451
Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
