On Friday, July 19, 2024, at approximately 2218 hours, located at 1590 W. 8th Street, within the confines of the 62nd Precinct in Brooklyn, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress within an apartment.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 56-year-old female victim in the apartment with multiple stab wounds to her neck.
Upon further investigation, police discovered a 27-year-old female, a 5-year-old female, and a 4-year-old male, all found deceased inside the apartment.
EMS responded and pronounced all of the victims deceased at the scene.
A 24-year-old male was taken into custody in regard to this incident.
Following proper family notification, the victims have been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
