Brian Smith, 30, Arrested For The Murder Of Kevaughn Reynolds, 19

On Friday, March 25, 2022, at approximately 1848 hours, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 4389 Matilda Avenue within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 19-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in front of 638 Nereid Avenue.

EMS responded and transported the aided male to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 30-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed incident.

Brian Smith

Bronx, NY 10452 

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon (2 counts).

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
