On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at approximately 2122 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 3724 Bronxwood Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 21-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, withn the confines of the 47th Precinct.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
