On Thursday, March 26, 2026, at approximately 0948 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person, shot in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and Bainbridge Avenue, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, a 21-year-old male was discovered unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded and transported the aided male to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 18-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on March 26, 2026, at 2000 hours, within the confines of the 52nd Precinct.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon, 2 counts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
