On Saturday, October 5, 2024, at approximately 0226 hours, police responded to a 911 call for a fire at 2334 Washington Avenue, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
EMS responded and transported multiple aided in stable condition, for smoke inhalation, and one female in critical condition, to St. Barnabas Hospital.
The Fire Marshal will determine the cause of the fire.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
