Xiaoning Zhang, 25, Arrested For The Murder Of Jim Li, 66

​On Monday, March 14, 2022, at approximately 1144 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress, inside of 136-56 39th Avenue, within the confines of the 109th Precinct in Queens.

Upon arrival, officers encountered an unconscious and unresponsive 66-year-old male with stab wounds to his body and neck inside of an office.

EMS also responded to the scene and transported the 66-year-old male victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Elmhurst, where he was pronounced deceased.

In addition, a 25-year-old female was taken into custody, with charges against her pending.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 25-year-old female individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed incident.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • criminal possession of a weapon (two counts).

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
