The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the unknown male individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault on a child, which occurred within the confines of the 32nd Precinct in Manhattan.

The following has been reported to police.

On Saturday, January 29, 2021, at approximately 1845 hours, inside of 2529 Seventh Avenue (a restaurant), police received a 911 call for a small child, who was assaulted by an adult male at the location. The child and adult were not present when police arrived.

Subsequent investigation determined that at 1740 hours, an unknown male individual entered the location with a small child.

Surveillance video showed the male strike the child, causing the child to fall to the ground. The adult male then put the child in a stroller and exited the location on foot in an unknown direction. 

The individual being sought for this incident is described as an adult male, 20-30 years of age, Black, with a slim build.
