The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male and unidentified female, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who are sought in connection with an assault, which occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 05, 2022 at 1605 hours an unidentified male and an unidentified female approached a BX18 bus that was between stops and knocked on the doors in an attempt to board. The victim, an on-duty MTA bus operator, did not open the bus doors. As the bus made its way through traffic, the unidentified male and unidentified female proceeded on foot to the next stop on the bus route. Upon arrival at the next stop, East 170th Street / Walton Avenue, in front of 39 E. 170th Street, the unidentified female boarded the bus and threw an unknown liquid in the victim’s face. The victim exited the bus and was knocked to the ground, punched and kicked by the unidentified male and the unidentified female.

The unidentified male and female fled on foot.

The victim, who suffered pain and swelling to her face and body and bruises to her knees, was transported in stable condition by EMS to BronxCare Health System.
