On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at approximately 1923 hours, police responded to a 911 call of shots, fired in front of 281 E. 161st Street, within the confines of the 44 Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed two males with gunshot wounds.
A 30-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.
A second 30-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in stable condition.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.
