On Saturday, November 26, 2022, at approximately 1921 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an emotionally disturbed person at 246 Echo Place, located within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a naked 22-year-old female acting erratically and placed her into custody.
EMS responded and transported the female to St. Barnabas Hospital for a psychological evaluation.
At approximately 1957 hours, a 911 call was received of an assault at the same location.
When police responded they observed two (2) children, an 11-month-old male and a 3-year-old male, unresponsive in the apartment with multiple stab wounds about the body.
EMS responded and transported both children to New York Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where they were pronounced deceased.
The female remains in police custody and the investigation is ongoing.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
