On Monday, January 17, 2022, at approximately 0755 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided person, struck by a vehicle at Bedford Avenue and Avenue P, within the confines of the 61st Precinct in Brooklyn.
Upon arrival, police observed a 15-year-old female with trauma to the head, lying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS also responded and pronounced the female deceased at the scene.
The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Charges:
- failure to use due care;
- failure to yield to a pedestrian.
The investigation remains ongoing.
