On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at approximately 2025 hours, police responded to a wellness check at 979 Summit Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified human torso at the location, later identified as a 44-year-old male.
EMS responded and pronounced the aided deceased on scene.
Pursuant to the ongoing investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 1005 hours, within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Friday, January 5, 2024, at approximately 0120 hours, the victim, a 61-year-old male, was followed by an unidentified male individual into a building, located in the vicinity of Creston Avenue and E. 184th Street.
As the victim attempted to flee, the unidentified male individual proceeded to stab the victim twice in the neck and armpit.
The male individual then left the building and fled to unknown whereabouts.
Upon arrival, officers observed the 61-year-old male with multiple stab wounds about the neck and torso.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted in connection to a criminal mischief / hate crime, which occurred within the confines of the 1st Precinct in Manhattan.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Thursday, February 02, 2023, at approximately 1615 hours, an unidentified individual approached a mobile Mitzvah Tank Synagogue, which was parked at 575 Broadway, and graffitied the word “PALESTINE” on the exterior of the synagogue vehicle.
The individual then fled into the subway system.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
