On Friday, May 06, 2022, at approximately 2133 hours, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 557 Chester Street, within the confines of the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn.
Upon arrival, officers observed two males with gunshot wounds.
A 45-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
A 28-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and was transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the an unknown individual approached an outside window of the location (Champion Cuts Barber Shop) and discharged multiple rounds from a firearm, striking the two individuals inside of the location.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
