On Saturday, April 24, 2021, at approximately 0343 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Rogers Avenue and Clarendon Road, within the confines of the 67th Precinct in Brooklyn.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified adult male E-Bike operator, lying on the roadway, with trauma to the head.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Kings County, where the 25-year-old victim was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that vehicle #1, a 2001 Nissan Sentra, operated by a 21-year-old male, was traveling north bound on Rogers Avenue, at the intersection of Clarendon Road, when vehicle #2, an E-Bike, operated by the unidentified male, was traveling east bound on Clarendon Road, at the intersection of Rogers Avenue, and entered the intersection, disobeying the traffic signal at the location.
As a result, vehicle #1 struck vehicle #2, causing the operator of vehicle #2 to fall to the ground, coming to a rest thereat.
The operator of vehicle #1 remained at the scene and was not injured.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 22-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged in regard to the above-listed collision investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
