Help Identify An Attempted Rape Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, seen in the attached surveillance video clip, who is sought in connection with an attempted rape incident, which occurred within the confines of the 103rd Precinct in Queens.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 0330 hours, inside of a multi-unit residential building, located in the vicinity of 190th Street and Woodhull Avenue, the victim, a 38-year-old female, was returning home and entered the lobby. An unidentified male, who was already inside the lobby, slapped the victim’s buttocks as she walked into the elevator. The unidentified male followed the victim into the elevator and began punching and kicking the victim about the face.

The unidentified male said he was going to rape the victim and then forcibly removed her shirt and bra.

He took the victim’s iPhone 10 Plus and fled on foot.

The victim, who suffered pain, bruising and swelling to her face, was transported in stable condition to Jamaica Hospital.

The investigation by the Queens Special Victims Squad is ongoing.
