The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault (non-fatal shooting), which occurred within the confines of the 49th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

The following has been reported to police.

On Monday January 10, 2022, at approximately 1511 hours, aboard a northbound 2 train, at the Bronx Park East subway station, an 18-year-old male victim got into a verbal dispute with an unknown male individual, which escalated into a physical confrontation.

While the two males began to fist fight, the unknown male individual displayed a firearm and fired several rounds at the 18-year-old victim, striking him three (3) times about the body, causing serious injuries.

The individual then fled the train platform on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi hospital in serious but stable condition.

The individual being sought is described as a male, 18 to 20 years old, Black.
