The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, seen in the attached surveillance photograph, who is sought in connection with an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 6th Precinct in Manhattan.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, January 02, 2022, at approximately 1235 hours, a 51-year-old male victim was walking in front of 154 W. 14th Street, when an unidentified male individual bumped into him and a verbal dispute ensued. The male individual then produced a knife and slashed the victim in the left arm causing a laceration before fleeing on foot southbound on 7th Avenue.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.  

The individual is described as an adult male, in his 30s, Black, approximately 5’00” tall, with black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black coat, black pants, black boots, black sweater, multi-color scarf, white hat and carrying a dark colored book bag.
