The New York Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted in connection to an assault, which occurred within the confines of the 10th Precinct in Manhattan.

The following has been reported to police.

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at approximately 1510 hours, an unknown male individual approached the 72-year-old female victim, while standing at a newsstand in front of 412 W. 17th Street, and unprovoked, pushed her against the newsstand, causing her to hit her head.

The individual then fled the location on foot to parts unknown.

The victim was transported to Healthplex Hospital in stable condition with contusion and welling to the forehead. 

The individual is described as an adult male, approximately 50 years of age, White, with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie jacket, black sweat pants, black winter hat, white sneakers and carrying a blue and black book bag.
