The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted in connection to an assault, which occurred within the confines of the 24th Precinct / Transit District 3 in Manhattan.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at approximately 0904 hours, on a southbound 3 train platform at the W. 125th Street and Lenox Avenue train station, an unknown individual approached a 67-year-old male and threw a liquid from a coffee cup at the victim.

The victim and individual both boarded the same southbound 3 train. A verbal argument ensued and the individual proceeded to knock the victim’s cellphone out of his hand.

The victim exited the train at the W. 96th Street and Broadway train station.

The individual remained on the southbound train and fled to parts unknown.

The victim suffered minor injuries from the altercation.

The suspect is described as an adult male, Black, with a dark skin complexion.

He was last seen wearing an orange jacket, blue jeans, a multicolored mask and a black backpack.
