Help Identify A Robbery Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, seen in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is sought in connection with a robbery, which occurred within the confines of the 24th Precinct in Manhattan.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 1915 hours, the victim, a 22-year-old female, entered the vestibule of 244 W. 101st Street.

An unidentified male followed her in and grabbed her cellphone. The victim resisted and the unidentified male put a knife to her throat.

The unidentified male fled on foot to the 103rd Street Station (1 train).

The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as an adult male in his 20s, Black, approximately 6’00” tall, with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a disposable face mask, black baseball hat with the letters “NY” (white) embroided in the front, a black backpack, a winter hooded sports jacket (blue-black in color), light colored jeans and black sneakers.

A surveillance video clip and a photograph of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.
