The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual,depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted in connection to a robbery and an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 108th Precinct / Transit District 20 in Queens.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Thursday February 24, 2022, at approximately 2322 hours, at the Queens Plaza E, M, R subway station, the individual approached the 57-year-old female victim from behind and kicked her down the stairs.

The individual then brandished a hammer and struck the victim several times on the head, before he took her purse.

The individual fled the scene on foot, southbound on Queens Plaza South.

The victim suffered a fractured skull and lacerations to her head.

EMS transported the victim to NY Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.  

The individual is described as an adult male, Black who wore a black hooded coat, a black mask, blue jeans, black shoes and carried a cane.
