The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the male individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted in connection to a police impersonation robbery, which occurred within the confines of the 76th Precinct in Brooklyn.
Details are as follows.
On Sunday, January 30, 2022, at approximately 2100 hours, in front of 354 Hamilton Avenue (a gas station), an unknown male individual parked a blue BMW sedan (temporary Texas tags 21421T9) at a pump station and approached the 39-year-old employee.
The individual displayed a firearm, stated he was a police officer and demanded gas for his vehicle.
The store employee authorized for the individual to obtain approximately $70 worth of gasoline for his vehicle, who then fled the location in the same vehicle, without paying.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The individual is described as an adult male in his 20s-30s, Black, with dark skin complexion and short braded black hair.
He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, light-blue jeans (ripped), black sports shoes with white soles.
