The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the male individual, depicted in the attached forensic artist composite sketch, who is wanted in connection to a police impersonation burglary, that occurred within the confines of the 9th Precinct in Manhattan.

Details are as follows.

On Sunday, November 28, 2021, at approximately 0746 hours, inside of a residence, located in the vicinity of E. 10th Street and Avenue A, an unknown male entered the backyard of a basement apartment and entered the residence through a rear unsecured door.

The male individual was met by the 22-year-old female resident. The male told the female victim that he was a police officer and to remain still. The male then exited the apartment through the front entrance and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported, no badge or firearm were displayed and no property was removed.

The individual is described as a male, in his 20s-30s.
